Grannies working in Brenham

We gave Granny Jane a plane ticket to come visit us for her birthday this year. I know, what more could someone want then a forced vacation to visit me? A real vacation? Oh. Right. Well we kidnaped her and put her to work at the studio in downtown Brenham. And of course she was actually thrilled to come and visit and help out with the studio.

The studio is coming along nicely. This week we hope to finish breaking off the plaster to expose the brick wall and finish the shiplap. Hopefully by the end of the week we will be cleaned up and ready for paint! I can hardly wait!

Even with all of the work on the studio we got in a little play time in too. We explored the beautiful Antique Rose Emporium in Brenham, as well as our favorite shops downtown, but I would have to say our favorite event we went to was the Roundtop Antique Festival. It was basically any Joanna-gains-wanna-be's Heaven On Earth. And I'm pretty sure I saw Joanna Gains there. But it was just the back of her head as she was getting into a car so I'll never really know for sure. Close enough. I'm claiming it. We had so much fun that when we dropped Granny off at the airport to go home, we were all so sad to see her go. After goodbye's and Granny left Charly said "I don't want her to go, she is the best girl ever!"

I agree Charly, I agree.

xoxo
